CM4HL Official Rulebook

  • 4v4 full ice, NO offsides & NO icing


  • (10) skaters and (2) goalies max on an active roster


  • (4) min warm up, (2) - (24) minute running periods, (2) minute intermission (The clock stops only for penalties injuries & during the final (2) minutes of play in a two-goal game)


  • No more penalty shots, you will have to serve your time in the box. We are now introducing 2 Minute running time minor penalties or 4 Minute running time major penalties.


  • If the game is tied, we enter into a (3) minute 3v3 sudden death OT, then shootout


  • Only ONE timeout awarded per team a game (1 Minute)


  • If the puck comes off the netting above the glass and back into play, we keep playing, if the puck hits the ceiling/ rafters the play is dead.


  • Goalies can play the puck anywhere on the ice.


  • Fighting and checking/hitting are prohibited due to liability concerns. Any fighting incidents will result in a minimum two-game suspension, a required donation to the league or a charity of the player’s choice, and a hearing with the league commissioner & player safety board.


  •  All sub's must have liability forms signed with the league and approved by the league commissioner and opposing team captain before participating in a game.            ($25 FEE per sub)


  • Zero tolerance policy. We are committed to creating a safe and fair environment for all participants. Please respect our staff and referees, as we will respect you.


  • All game misconducts result in a player hearing.


  • General Managers may make trades with other teams but must notify the league commissioner before the trade is approved.


  • General Managers may lock up to (5) players on the active roster. All other players are eligible to be traded, picked up or leave via free agency.


  • The trade deadline is at the halfway point of the regular season. All players need to have at least 50% of the games played to qualify for playoffs. 


  • Top (4) teams will make playoffs 


No Refund Policy
All registration fees are non-refundable. If a player decides not to participate or cannot play during the season for any reason, no refund will be issued.
